Global Spatial Technology Solutions (GSTS) is a Global Maritime Intelligence company delivering solutions to enhance decision making across the maritime and logistics industry. Our platform, OCIANA™, is designed to save lives, energy and the environment on a global scale using innovative data collection and analysis techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
As part of a team that will use configuration management software to automatically deploy updates and fixes into the production environment. You will Test code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline and minimize errors. You will monitor infrastructures and improvements. You will build for meeting scalability, security, and performance objectives. You will document processes and knowledge sharing. You will identify, report and deploy security measures to mitigate risk.
Required Skills:
- 3 years experience with AWS Cloud services, including ECS, ECR, RDS, IAM, etc.
- Experience in developing Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Experience working with at least one of the following languages: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go or R.
- Knowledge of APIs and the ability to discuss how to automate Cloud based pipelines using APIs.
- Good hands-on knowledge of Configuration Management and Deployment tools like Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible.
- Clear understanding of networking technologies including CDNs, Routers, Load Balancers, Firewalls, WAF and DNS.
- Proficient in scripting Git/GitLab workflows.
- Experience working with containerization tools like Docker, Elastic container service or Kubernetes.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
Comments/Special Considerations:
Candidates must pass a criminal background check and be able to obtain Controlled Goods clearance.
Work can be done remotely, if located in the Halifax area a hybrid working environment is available to employees.
